Clarins regional makeup artists were on hand to show the women how to accent their beauty and play down any flaws. Voci and his stylists cut and highlighted each woman's hair in a matter of hours making the transformation complete. The Career Wardrobe staff helped the women pick out outfits from head to toe. Style Me Happy was the concept of salon owner Marc Voci who wanted to make the community aware of the unemployment crisis. Voci had individuls who wanted to be considered for the makeover register on online, upload a photo and write a paragraph about why they deserved a makeover.
Denise Searfass, Karen Fisher, Valerie Keebler, Lyn McCafferty and Virginia Cheung were the lucky five who had a chance to enhance their beauty and pick out professional clothes.McCaffery, an editor, has been out of work since June of 2010. She has filled out over 200 job applications.
